I guess it’s actually whichever company they’ve hired to hawk their wares. They used to call twice a day until I reported them to the FCC. Of course, the FCC said they didn’t have enough evidence to investigate further and coincidentally enough, the phone calls have resumed.

Seriously, if you want people to subscribe to your paper, you might want to stop harassing them.

WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT
FROM 4 AM TO 4 PM PST FRIDAY

SOUTHEAST WINDS OF 15 TO 25 MPH WITH
GUSTS TO 35 MPH ARE EXPECTED THIS EVENING.
THE WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO INCREASE TOMORROW
MORNING TO 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 45 MPH.

TREES AND STRUCTURES WEAKENED
FROM PREVIOUS WINDS EARLIER THIS MONTH
...MAY ALSO EXPERIENCE MORE DAMAGE
DUE TO THESE GUSTY WINDS.

Just great! If I have to go for another two weeks without TV, I’m going to go nuts. Should I just call DirecTV now and pre-schedule an appointment? The dude who came out to fix my busted dish said the last storm generated about 5,000 service calls in the Sacramento area.

Also, can we get a name on this storm if the damn winds get to the Tropical Storm level? Totally not fair. If no one from the National Weather Service or the National Hurricane Center steps up, I’m it Non-Tropical Storm Bob.
