Bumping the codes for LEGO Minifigures: The LEGO Movie series

The latest series of LEGO minifiguresLEGO Store Online recently came out. This series is centered around the LEGO movie that will be released next month.  Paul & I hightailed it down to the LEGO store at the Mall of America and found 12 different minifigures.

In the above photo, you will see the bump codes for Barista, President Business, Wild West Wyldestyle, Scribble Cop, William Shakespeare, Calamity Drone, Abraham Lincoln, Gail the construction worker, Wiley Fusebot, Panda Guy, Mrs. Scratchen-Post, and Taco Tuesday Man.

I was really hoping we’d find the Where Are My Pants Guy, but he is still out there for us to find.

Shakespeare has a circle on his bag because there was something there that looked like bumps, but not quite, so I just noted it.

Based on the LEGO minifiguresLego Store Online, this movie looks fairly interesting. I mean where else are you going to find Bill Shakespeare, Abraham Lincoln, a guy who lost his pants, and various robots in a movie?

Thank you to everyone who is reading this page. I can’t believe how popular it has become. Hopefully, you all are finding the ones you want!

As soon as the next set of minifigures are released I will post about them with photos and codes.

I have to seriously question the bump code method. I just bought 2 packs and they were both Emmet. Completely different codes yet both had the same region code. I was really hoping this was the easy way around these evil blind bags.

I believe that as the production runs continue, the codes change. Since this post was from one of the first production runs, the viability of the codes is probably 1/3 now. Definitely feel for some of the oddly shaped pieces. Those won’t change. Good luck!

I just completed the whole set today. I don’t know about using the bump codes or not..but if you just take a little time and feel around the package there are easily enough to distinguish. Some are very easy while others are quite a bit harder. If you want a specific guy look for an item he has that you can try to locate to narrow down your search.

For instance. Wyldstyle and the other robot girl are the only ones without legs (triangle dress instead) makes finding these two very easy. Panda has a giant head, Taco Tuesday has a platter and pointy hat, Abe has the biggest hat, Emmett and the girl construction worker have ridges on their hats, Mermaid has her tail, Cat lady has the funky hair, feel for President Business coffee cup, Where’s my pants has 2 pairs of pants, Bad Cop has a smooth helmet and cuffs.

My wife and I got it down to a science and got all 16 without any duplicates. Hang in there and happy hunting!
