When the people at Crowdtap sent me a sample of the new Hershey’s Spreads to try, I couldn’t believe it was new. It seemed like Hershey’s had made a product like this before, but I couldn’t remember when. Apparently, it was nothing but a day dream, except now the Hershey’s Spreads are real. YAY!
If you are looking for a quick, chocolaty treat, I highly recommend Hershey’s Spreads. There are three flavors: Chocolate, Almond & Chocolate, and Hazelnut and Chocolate. I tried the regular chocolate version.
What should you put this wonder stuff on? Fruit would be an obvious choice, but since I didn’t have any fruit in the house, I chose toast. Yep, toast…and a bagel…and a Ritz cracker…and a pita chip…and Wheat Thins.
Oddly enough, the Ritz cracker wasn’t too bad with the chocolate. It had a nice salty finish.
Honestly, Hershey’s Spread was sort of like a cold fondue. I kept trying to find different things to dip in it, which is why I tried different kinds of crackers…and because I have no fruit in the house.
I wish I could have tried it on graham crackers. Back when I was a kid, my mom used to give me and my sister frosting on graham crackers as a snack. Not every day, but once in a while. The Hershey’s Spread reminded me of those days.
