>Are the newspapers the next industry to go to Congress begging for a bailout? Today the Tribune Co. filed for bankruptcy. If they want to survive, newspapers are going to have to change with the times. People still want information. They are willing to pay for it, but they want it delivered with new technology.

Newspapers are going to have to go all digital if they want to survive. Paper is so 20th century.

    >I really hope they all get bailed out. Buying up years of bad decisions always sounds like a good idea.

Eventually folks will realize quality content will always be in demand and worth the cost. Until then, free and online newspapers along with the echo-chamber blogosphere shall prevail.

I’m not ready to put my reading chair on craigslist.

    >Bailing out companies with bad business plans seems to be the American way.

My guess is that eventually, we will probably be using something like that Amazon Kindle thing. Personally, I don’t know anyone who uses it, but maybe it’s just ahead of its time.
