>They just won’t let this story go will they?
Since 2003, the H5N1 bird flu virus has been detected in 45 countries in Africa, Asia, and Europe. More than 100 people have died after coming into contact with infected poultry.
Hello? 100 people does not a pandemic make. More people died in car accidents over the past two years (est. 2.4 million). That’s a bigger problem than some turkey with a cough.
Did you know that there is also a dog flu? Where’s the 20/20 prime time special about that?
Random Note: Today is Cesar Chavez Day and I don’t have the day off!
>Shit! I totally forgot to buy Chavez cards this year.
>Viva La Revolucion!
>Who were the lucky ones to claim a day off? Never heard of this holiday until I watched the news this morning… even though I live in the Bay Area.
>It’s only people who work for the State of California or the City of Sacramento. Maybe the other cities in CA give their employees the day off too…I don’t know.
>Something like 200 people a year are killed by falling coconuts. That kinda freaked me out. You don’t hear people going on and on about THAT.
>Exactly! Someone alert John Stossel…
