On Monday, the patient’s family saw a gaping hole with swarming ants in it when they lifted the bandage on her left eye.
What the hell?!? I don’t understand this:
Scampering rats and stray cats and dogs sharing bed space with patients are not uncommon sights at India’s overcrowded state-run hospitals that are used by millions of poor and middle-class people.
Why the hell doesn’t someone shut the door and stop the cats and dogs from running into the hospital? Are there no doors? Are these pets that people just drop off inside because it’s so crowded no one will notice?
I’m guessing that there are no janitors to keep the place clean, but I just don’t understand the animals running around the place.
>On the flip side, American hospitals have too MANY doors. Every now and then I have to deliver food to one and finding “ICU” is like a maze and then it’s even harder trying to get out. Whenever I finally make it out I always feel like I just escaped from somewhere.
