We have to treat our clients and even other agents’ clients as though they were children. I know little to nothing about how my car runs or the maintenance it needs, aside from regular oil changes and new tires every so often. It would be simple for a mechanic or service person to tell me I need thousands of dollars of work done to my car that is completely unnecessary. Aside from my gut reaction, I have no way to tell if they are trying to sell me service that I need or just to meet their quota.
