Regardless, one of the good side effects of the economic collapse has been the dissolution or reduction of office holiday parties. My office is doing a holiday cocktail hour at a local restaurant. This is much better for those of us who haven’t had a boyfriend in quite a long time and don’t seem to have any prospects on the horizon. Plus, I won’t have to fret about what to wear. I’ll just holiday-up my usual work costume.
