I’ve decided we don’t need an arena here. Sacramento has an identity crisis. It thinks it’s a big city, when it’s not. Just because we are the capital of California, doesn’t mean we have to be a big city. Lots of capital cities are not that big. Some of them aren’t even the biggest city in the state. Look at Albany, NY.
I’m not saying we shouldn’t have sports. What seems to do well in this area is smaller scale sports like the Rivercats. Maybe we can have an NBA “farm” team or something instead.
