>Could someone explain to me why any sane person would go to freaking Lebanon? Isn’t this the same place where terrorists took people hostage over and over again in the 1980s? Sounds like a great place to live.
Are people pissed off that the government is seeking reimbursement from Americans? All I know is that $150 won’t even get me a flight to Vegas.
Maybe instead of reimbursement, we can propose an idiot tax. If you want to go to an area of the world that is CLEARLY dangerous, but want the U.S. government to come rescue you when the natives get all restless, you have to pay an idiot tax.
>Amen sister
I can’t fathom why anyone would go there. WTF do they have there worth seeing??? Isn’t that where the Marine barracks was bombed? I mean our best and bravest were there and they were killed?????????? I can’t understand, but then again the left calls me an idiot righty, when I am just a content American pulling for our boys no matter where they are or why they are there.

>Some Americans or their parents are from there.
>I think that barracks thing was Libya, but I could be wrong about that.
Either way, it just seems a little stupid to go to an area of the world that isn’t exactly known for being peaceful. I think the civilian Americans who go there and want to get out need to take some responsibility for choosing to go there in the first place. If one of those people said, “I knew the risk when I came here.” Then I’d be able to respect their choice a little more. I’d still think it was a dumb choice.
