>I have always been fascinated by the stars, planets, and comets. My parents would take us outside on warm summer nights to watch showers of shooting stars. Lying there on the warm pavement with a cool summer breeze stirring the trees I would watch a satellite drift by, wondering if it was a spy satellite or just watching the rain over the plains.
Last night, I dragged my friend outside to look at the lunar eclipse and she goes, “That’s it?” I’m like what did you expect? It’s not going to be completely black. You couldn’t see it then, duh. It’s just going to get dark red or orange. I don’t know if she just doesn’t see the natural wonder and beauty in the world or if she just likes to have people think nothing impresses her. It’s sad either way.
I thought it was awesome.
