>So now some AM/FM radio guy is trying to get the FCC to regulate satellite radio. Well, if the AM/FM radio stations would play some decent music, less commercials, and do away with those lame DJ’s, I think more people would stick with the traditional radio.
I have XM radio and I enjoy it. The music channels have no commercials and limited DJ interruption. I get to hear songs I haven’t heard in 20 years. I even get to hear songs I haven’t heard before because traditional radio rarely played the music if at all. The best thing though is that when I go on a road trip, I don’t have to search for channels in each area. I can listen to the same channel the whole way.
The whole FCC thing is nuts. Personally, I feel the government should watch businesses to make sure that they are providing a safe work environment, a fair wage, and things like that. However, I don’t feel that they need to tell me what I should and shouldn’t be listening to, especially if I pay for it. If I didn’t like what I heard on satellite radio, I would stop my subscription.
