>Could someone explain to me how you create 200 tons of snow in California in the middle of the summer? That’s got to be some ice machine. Somehow I don’t think the mathematics/physics of the ice melt were taken into consideration when the City approved the permits.

Although, it usually doesn’t get much above 65 degrees in San Francisco during the summer, so the runoff wouldn’t have been as bad as if they’d had it here in Sacto. The shaved ice would have melted faster than a chocolate bar in a child’s hand.
