>Seriously, I reported to jury duty and of course it was a criminal case. Apparently, this 60ish year old guy from Rancho Cordova shot and killed his ex-wife last month. Yeah, he’s innocent. NOT. I mentioned on the lengthy questionnaire at least three times that I believe anyone who is arrested is guilty. I’m hoping this will get me excused. If not then I’ll be sure to let the attorneys and judge know that I’ll probably have a mental break down if I have to see graphic photos of a murdered person.
I did forget to mention that one of my good friends from high school currently works in the medical examiner’s office in a Bay Area county. Maybe that will get me out of a month long trial.
>eww, that sucks! Hope you get out of it!~
>Yuck, that sucks. I hope you get out of it too.
I got out of jury duty once when I had a shitty, one-man business.
My wife got out of being on a federal grand jury last year. She didn’t do anything special. They just filled all the positions earlier. Lucked out.
>Grand juries sit for a year, I think. What a nightmare that would be.
