>On ABC tonight is one of my favorite holiday specials, It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. I remember watching this on CBS as a kid. It was all a part of the autumn ritual of Halloween. I have this show on DVD, but there is something really special about watching it on TV.
What I find interesting is that this show came out in 1966, when my mom was 16. Even twenty years later when I was watching as a kid it was entertaining. Now as an adult, I can really read into the genius that is Charles Schultz. Just look at Sally. How many of us women can relate to her woes? Blinded by love, she gives up something she really wants to do just to spend some time with Linus, who ends up not even being interested in her.
