>I’m not saying that everything in the US is perfect. It’s not. It’s a pretty broad statement to say that the lifestyle and the food here are some things you can’t stand. I mean there are all kinds of people who live here and have very different lifestyles. Better yet, instead of just saying that something sucks, why not say how it can be better? Criticism is always good if it is constructive.
I guess the one thing I can’t tolerate is intolerance. But, I won’t force anyone to accept my beliefs. That’s not how I was raised. It just shocks me when people can’t stand the US. It’s like that episode of Seinfeld, “How can they not like him? He’s so likeable.”
That’s how I feel about the US. How can people not like this country? There’s so much good stuff here like casinos in Las Vegas, sighting movie stars in Hollywood, the fall colors in New England, going to Disneyland. Yes, there is bad stuff, too. I’m not going to name it. We all know what it is. I feel that the good outweighs the bad though.
Like I said, the US is far from perfect, but I really don’t see how you cannot like our food. I think we have the biggest variety of food. In every other country, except maybe Canada, you are really limited on the type of food available.
Seriously, are you going to go to Italy and eat sushi? Or a bratwurst? Here you can have Italian one night, Mexican the next, then Thai, Chinese, Spanish, Burgers, German, French, etc. We have every cuisine you can possibly imagine here. You can eat the same type of food everyday, or you can eat something different everyday. They say variety is the spice of life, but I think some people prefer bland to spicy.
