>When I lived in the city, my friend Maria and I went to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner one night. The place was packed as was usual. We got lucky and snagged a seat in the bar area. There were two of us sitting at a table for four. Both of us were sitting on the far side of the table in an attempt to distance ourselves from the crowd.
After we had received our appetizers (boneless buffalo wings…love that spicy ketchup they cover them in) this group of people asks if they can sit at our table while they wait for their table. Of course they ask this as they sit down in the two free chairs.
In an attempt to err on the side of caution, we just smile through gritted teeth and let them sit. Maria and I carry on our conversation when the guy who sat down looks at our food and asks, “Can I have a bite of that?” as he grabs a piece of chicken!
We just sat there in disbelief. I started looking for the hidden cameras when their beeper went off and they left to go to their own table.
Sometimes I really hate people.
