>George W. Bush = Stupidity + Arrogance
I’m sick of hearing his argument. It’s not logical. But, let’s just say for argument’s sake that these wiretaps that GW authorized did prevent some sort of terrorist attack. What does that mean exactly? How were they prevented? Did the government catch the criminals? If so, then the wiretaps will not hold up in court. It’s called the 4th Amendment.
And I like how GW is calling the whistleblower an enemy. Hello? It’s not the same as leaking the name of a CIA agent. This incident is an example of exposing government corruption. You know what? I don’t care who leaked the information. I care that the President of the United States is not upholding the Constitution. I care that someone leaked the name of a CIA agent and it looks like that leak came from within the Bush Administration.
Please note this paragraph from the article:
The president denied misleading the public during a 2004 appearance in support of the Patriot Act when he said, “Any time you hear the United States government talking about wiretap, a wiretap requires a court order.”
Shall we add lying to the treason and corruption charges when the impeachment process begins? Maybe he’s back on the juice and the booger sugar, too. I know Congress won’t impeach Bush, but a girl can dream can’t she?
By the way, no one in California is waiting for help recovering from the recent storms, just in case anyone in FEMA or the federal government was wondering. Our own Governor doesn’t seem to care, so why should the feds?
