>It’s the first day of Autumn. It’s one of my favorite times of the year because it signals the start of the year end celebrations. Halloween and Thanksgiving have always been big favorites of mine. When I was a kid it was all about the food.
Now, I enjoy the beginning of football, shorter days and longer nights, a crisp breeze in the night air, the smell of cinnamon wafting from a candle. The anticipation of good times to come gets me up in the mornings. I start planning the office Christmas Party. I start shopping for the various last quarter birthdays. I look forward to creating a new cookie for Thanksgiving.
Yes, I enjoy the material side of these celebrations, but really what matters is the time I spend with family and friends. The memories are what I cherish the most.
