>Somehow I got reeled into the latest episode of Jon & Kate plus 8. Morbid curiosity pulled me in, I guess. That and not much else to choose from at the time…

Coming from a family where multiple births happen naturally, I have issues with people who use fertility drugs and then end up with a gaggle of children. You won’t get any sympathy from me.

Regardless, this episode was about Kate’s birthday and Jon was on a ski trip to Utah during it. If I was married and my husband was out of town on my birthday, he might as well just not come home. Any reason other than to visit a dying relative or the possibility of losing his job if he didn’t go on the trip, is grounds for divorce.

>Most of the time, I don’t fall into the typical female vices, but for some reason I’ve started watching Platinum Weddings on the WE channel. On the episode I saw, the couple spent a minimum of $60,000 on flowers alone. That’s more than my annual salary! Plus, they had 360 guests. I don’t think I even know 180 people much less want them at my wedding. Then again, it is TV and nothing on it is even close to reality.

    >I don’t watch anything related to weddings and such. Been married twice – divorced once and widowed once. My current boyfriend doesn’t “do” marriage – so there you have it. The money portion of what you mentioned is over the moon – can’t fathom spending money so frivolously. Man, where are people’s priorities anymore?
