Let me share a secret with you. Hair has been growing on my chin for about 15 years now. Every freaking day, I have to pluck the evil hairs that sprout on my face. It’s tiring, time consuming, and a huge blow to my self-esteem.
Two weeks ago, I started using the Silk’n SensEpil on my chin. While the hair is still there, after only two treatments, I can tell that it’s not growing as quickly as it had been.
This first treatment I did on the lowest setting. I was a little afraid that I might have some adverse reaction, but because I regularly wear SPF 50 on my face (every single day), I didn’t even get any redness.
Emboldened, last night I did my second treatment on my chin on the second highest setting. One giant zap for my self esteem!
The next morning, I went to perform my usual hair removal ritual and noticed a significant reduction in hair. Usually, I swear I have a 5 o’clock shadow, but not this time. The only places I needed to pluck were in the area I didn’t treat. Sure, I noticed some hair in the treated area, but it was too short to pluck.
Before: Ugly red bumps |
After: Bumps are almost gone |
I started my hair removal journey by zapping my bikini line. See the photos? Those notorious red bumps? Not as awful as they used to be and that’s only after 3 treatments. I can’t wait to see what a complete cycle of treatment will do for me.
It’s funny because the guidelines for the machine warn you to only use it where you don’t want to grow hair ever again. On my bikini line and chin? That can’t happen soon enough.
It can take a good 72 weeks (12 sessions four weeks apart) to see results because of the cycles of hair growth, but those results can be up to a 70% reduction in hair.
You should know that Silk’n SensEpil is similar to professional laser hair removal systems and will not work on individuals with dark skin tones and is not recommended for their use (if the skin tone is too dark the SensEpil cannot detect the difference between the hair and the skin and will not be as effective).
Don’t forget, you can still get 20% OFF Silk’n SensEpil Products. (Offer Valid September 1st – December 31st, 2011 $200 minimum purchase required).” The promo code to redeem this offer is: “Beauty20”
Also, we have a winner in the giveaway! Lord Lizzie! Congratulations! I hope you enjoy your Silk’n SensEpil laser hair removal system as much as I have enjoyed mine.

>You should be aware that laser hair removal does not provide permanent results for all of us so if your doctor didn't told you that you know now:)
When I did my first laser hair removal treatment in Toronto the doctor told me this because he knew that most people think they'll get permanent results.
My treatment worked great, in the exact same area, and till now I was enable to see hair growing in the treated area( almost a year) so for me that's more than enough, because before my laser hair removal experience I was shaving or waxing twice a week in teh summer time.
