>The other day I went to sleep and it was the middle of May. On Sunday I woke up and it looked like January outside. This rain is not welcome. It’s time for sunshine. While I’m not usually a fan of the scorching summertime heat, at this point, I’d endure it just for something different. I was looking forward to sitting on my couch and not freezing my ass off anymore…at least not for the next 5 months anyway.
Now when it should be a warm spring evening with the twilight sparkling through the leaves, I’m sitting in the near darkness listening to the sound of rain drip down the gutter spout as I have for the last 6 months or so. I should be slathering on sunblock every day as a way of preventing premature aging instead of wearing sweaters and boots. I should be hit with a wall o’ heat when I step out of my air conditioned office building. I should be relishing the angle of the sun light in the middle of the day.
Yes, I know people are enduring floods and all manner of other natural disasters around the world, but this weather is nutty and a little depressing. And look at that screen shot from my phone…it’s going to be like this for a good chunk of the week.
