>Sad is the only way to describe Van Halen’s induction into the Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame. It should have been a celebration of a legendary rock band, but only two of the band members showed up. Ok, Eddie Van Halen gets a pass for finally going to rehab, but Alex Van Halen and David Lee Roth really don’t have a good excuse. Ain’t Talkin’ Bout Love is a decent song, but Scott Weiland did not do it justice. I’d rather have heard Diamond Dave belting out Unchained or even I’m the One.

Technically, don’t you have to be a band for 25 years before you are eligible? So that would mean Sammy Hagar’s version of the band really shouldn’t be included until 2009. At least he sort of mentioned that in his speech. Michael Anthony is a class act. He even gives a shout out to Gary Cherone who was in the band for like five minutes.

I guess some egos never really shrink over time.

Thanks for bringing this up. 🙂
