>Scored some tickets to the show last night and it was pretty good. The Bee gave it a so-so review, but what can you expect? Most of his music is fairly mellow. It’s not like you can go in expecting full KISS pyro or something.
I’m not a huge fan of his, but I do enjoy the more popular songs like Only the Good Die Young, Movin’ Out, and the Bosom Buddies theme song.
When he played We Didn’t Start the Fire, all I could think of was that episode of the Office where Ryan started the fire and Michael and Dwight sang that song to him.
>My first (music) concert was Billy Joel in 1984. I went with a girl who was the primer for my wife. It was a pretty good show.
Thing is, the show you saw is probably not a lot different than the show I saw. Not a whole lot of new stuff since ’84.
>You are right. Most of the people there just want to relive the past anyway, and the younger ones want to see what they’ve heard their parents talking about.
