>A Tweetup for the Rest of us!

>Let’s all admit that some of us enjoy the Bah Humbug aspect of the holiday season. It’s not that we are warring on Christmas. In fact, Christmas is my favorite holiday, but there is some ridiculousness inherent in everything we as humans do.

Plus there’s this whole expectation of perfection. It’s exhausting.

Example: Holiday parties. A double edged sword, right? I mean who doesn’t love a party? But for some reason holiday parties can bring out a groan.

 On December 21st, there is going to be a different kind of holiday party… a Festivus Tweetup.

Think about it. Twitter and Festivus go hand in hand. I seriously can’t be the only one who uses the microblogging site to air my grievances.

But it’s not all crying in your beer, wine or whiskey… or angrily shaking your fist in the air. There’s free stuff too. And a little bit of charity. No, not a donation in your name to the Human Fund.

There will be a Diaper Drive and Raffle.  Diapers in all sizes can be donated for Maryhouse, a daytime hospitality shelter for homeless women and children.

For every pack of diapers you bring to the tweetup, you get a raffle ticket.  Of course, you will get one for showing up, but bring some diapers and spread a little of that holiday cheer.  It might come back to you!
