>I envy people who had childhood dreams.  I never really felt passionate about anything as a child…except maybe to grow up so I didn’t have to go to school anymore.

School was pretty boring.  I’m the type of person who wants to move on once she learns something.  Homework was just sheer torture.  It’s the whole, I’m done and moving on thing. Yeah, I got it.  NEXT!  I never understood the kids that did extra credit.  Why bother? It was optional and I was satisfied with a B.

Then when I was in junior high, I also decided that it would be nice to have a boyfriend.  Yes, those were my two childhood dreams.  Only one of which has actually come true.  I no longer have to suffer through classes learning about crap that won’t be useful.  I even knew in junior high that most of the stuff I was learning wasn’t going to be needed when I finally became an adult.

Well, that’s not entirely true.  When I was a senior in high school I finally had my first boyfriend.  Sadly, that was the longest relationship I’ve ever had.  It wasn’t for lack of trying.  Who knows why I continually fail to be in a long term relationship…

I guess as we get older, our dreams change.  Except I still dream of having a boyfriend.  But, now I also dream of being rich or at least not having to live paycheck to paycheck.  Although, it would be nice to own some designer clothes or travel to Europe again…
