The Minnesota State Fair runs from August 22nd to Labor Day (September 2nd) and since this will be my first real state fair, I’m trying to prepare for my visit. One of the many sights to see in the Twin Cities are the Peanuts statues. Since the statues were released between 2000 and 2004, many of them were auctioned off. Some stayed in the Twin Cities area. Previously in a blog post or two, I’ve written about the random laws various states have with regard to alcohol. In California, it’s fairly liberal, I guess. You can buy hard liquor, wine, and beer in grocery stores. Heck, Target even has wine and beer. But, there are only so many liquor licenses to go around. The state does control… Read more »
