>The other day I went down to the Bay Area to visit some friends. It served to remind me why I live in Sacramento. The traffic here is nothing, I repeat, NOTHING like the traffic in the Bay Area.
For whatever reason, the human race can figure out how to put men on the moon, but the concept of merging lanes on the freeway is baffling to this same species. It’s really not that difficult. Just take turns like you learned in kindergarten. Also, the fast lane doesn’t need to slow down just because the slow lane has a merge situation. Just freaking GO!
If I had to face traffic challenges with a companion, at least I would be entertained or distracted by a conversation. Creeping along the interstate alone in the car is one of my own person hells. You would think after facing crap alone for most of my life I would get used to it. Well, I might be used to it, but I certainly don’t like it.
>Agreed, Thats why I love being a working from home consultant… I am thinking about the Capital Corridor next time I drive from San Jose to Sacramento, and then rent a car in Sacramento.
>I've heard the train is a decent alternative if it fits into your travels. Can you rent a car at the train station here in Sac? Clearly I've never been there.
>Hi, You cannot rent a car right at the train station, however Enterprise Rent a car will pick you up at the Sacramento train station and take you to pick up the car. The one that services the Sacramento Train Station is at 1409 16th St, 916-444-7600. Other rental car companies probably will pick you up to.
